3PL for e-commerce

For an online store, 3PL is about more than storage. It is about getting orders out correctly, while keeping returns and customer expectations under control.

  • Clear cut-off times and delivery promises.
  • Accurate picking, packing and shipment status.
  • Integration with webshop, ERP, WMS or transport systems.
  • Returns that are processed quickly and consistently.
  • Capacity to scale during campaigns and seasonal peaks.

Complexity increases when the same operation handles D2C, B2B, retail, marketplaces, high return rates or value-added services. Then the operation should be designed more precisely than a standard warehouse setup.
