# GANT Norway chooses Spedify as its logistics partner in Askim

GANT Norway has chosen Spedify as its third-party logistics (3PL) partner in Askim after assessing twelve warehouse operators in Norway and Sweden. The operation brings together stock for ecommerce, stores, outlets and wholesale customers.

In an interview with Logistikk Inside, Halvor Krogsrud from GANT Norway explains the decision: proximity to the Norwegian market, the economics of the operation and a partner able to adapt to its needs.

## Flexibility in everyday operations

GANT needed a partner for both its regular goods flow and tasks beyond a standard warehouse process. During their visit to Askim, the management team saw how Spedify would organise the operation.

At Askim, we combine AutoStore, pallet storage and manual warehouse areas. Customer teams and team leaders oversee daily operations, with the setup adapted to product types and order profiles.

## Closer to customers in Norway

GANT also considered its Nordic distribution centre in Jönköping. A Norwegian warehouse was chosen to keep inventory close to customers and support short delivery times. Consolidating stock in Askim allows several sales channels to be served from one location.

Outsourcing also means a greater share of logistics costs follows activity, rather than the fixed costs of running an in-house warehouse.

## From relocation to further improvement

The move took place in August 2026. Krogsrud describes a successful transition, while acknowledging adjustments during the initial operating period:

The next step is to refine the operation together, including which products belong in AutoStore and which are better suited to other warehouse areas.
