The lowest price per order is rarely enough as a decision basis. A solid assessment looks at the total operation: warehouse, staffing, returns, reporting, responsibility, capacity and how change is handled.
Questions to clarify
Before choosing a 3PL partner, the brand should clarify both operational needs and commercial expectations:
- Which channels, order types and customer promises must be supported?
- How are returns, repairs and exceptions handled?
- Which systems need to integrate, and who owns the data?
- How does the partner handle peaks, campaigns and growth?
- How is quality measured and followed up in daily operations?
A strong 3PL partner should be able to explain the operating model, not only the price list. The goal is a setup that can be understood, measured and improved over time.
